Members: Any person who has a child attending Emerson Elementary, lives in the Emerson community, or is a member of Emerson staff is a member of the PTO. Members are eligible to participate in business meetings or to serve in any elective or appointed position of the PTO. The Board of Directors consists of a chair, vice chair or co-chair, secretary and treasurer. These are elected annually. Nominations can be made in April or May, with the vote for Board in May. The term of office is July 1- June 30th, and there are no term limits.

The PTO offers a collaborative platform between Emerson Elementary staff, community members, parents, and students. Communication between the various members is important to our mission.
