Dr. Emanuele Buchicchio is a Subject Expert and Research Affiliate at the Department of Engineering, University of Perugia, Italy, and serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Smartpeg. In his industrial role, he leads the development of data-driven software solutions for Human Resource management and HR intelligence. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2024, with a research focus on uncertainty quantification in machine learning-based systems.

Dr. Buchicchio’s research interests sit at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Measurements, and Software Engineering. He focuses on applying metrological concepts to AI algorithms to enhance their reliability, interpretability, and sustainability. He is an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE, with specific affiliations in the IEEE Computer Society and the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society.
