Update from Chair (1/11/2025)
We have completed our surveys and physical assessments of the community. We are currently reviewing our bi-annual report from Dudek who is contracted by the HOA to assess the community for wildfire risks and our landscape management.
This information is being consolidated into our initial assessment. This assessment will be shared with various stakeholders across the HOA and external partners including CAL FIRE, Escondido Fire, and Fire Safe Council of Southwest Escondido.
We will be hosting a working session to review this assessment and identify areas that we will make a priority to improve over the upcoming years. Another deliverable from this meeting will be a multi-year plan to achieve the aforementioned goals. The working session is expected to occur within the next 6 weeks.
The assessment, multi-year plan, documentation of our volunteer hours and educational event will be included into our application to be recognized as a Firewise community.
