We aim to make Emerald Heights safer from wildfires and provide residents with wildfire insurance resources.

Defensible Space
Defensible Space is a strategy of using zones around the house to lower the risk of wildfire igniting the home. Defensible Space compliance can be inspected by Cal Fire and these inspections are part of compliance with AB 38.
Initiatives

The Fire Safety Committee has identified initiatives that we are currently considering executing after the community has gain recognition as a Firewise community.
Evacuation Plan - Will be engaging outside consultants to review our community and create a formal evacuation plan that will be communicated out to residents, management and security.
Neighbors4Neighbors - a volunteer program of Neighbors assisting those in our community who may require help during evacuations
Vendor Partnerships - try to build partnerships with home hardening vendors to make it easier for residents to make improvements to their homes
