Hello! My name is Emely Gonzalez and I am a first-generation Latina attending college and on my journey to receive my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Alonzo King LINES BFA program at Dominican University. I was born and raised in Los Angeles California and a proud Salvadoran American. I have danced for multiple dance companies including Grand Arts Dance Company, Versa Style Dance Company, Lume Dance Collective, CHAOS, and others. I participated in Inner-City Arts’s, Work of Art Program where I danced for Lady Gaga’s documentary, “The Power of Kindness” and choreographed a solo about anxiety for a web series titled: Rated Z for Everyone. I have a background in hip-hop street dance and contemporary and plan to pursue a career in dance theater with a company or go on tour with an artist.
