The goal of this wiki is to provide resources and evaluations of resources revolving around teaching science, primarily at the elementary school level K-5.
The evaluation form CRAAPBDT is intended for educators to evaluate online Science resources for their students and also parents. The purpose of this wiki is meant for Science teachers in grades K-5. The acronym CRAAP stands for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, Purpose - Bias, Design and Technical Element. This form can be used to evaluate anything such as blogs, websites, lesson plans and much more.
All of these requirements are listed on the form since they are so important for determining if a tool should be utilized. First, we examine the currency of the resource provided. Next, we check the relevance that is provided. Is the resource relevant to what is being examine. After, we check the authority and accuracy. Lastly, we check the purpose of the website. What is the purpose and why is it important. BDT comes along for us to check for certian measure. Bias as check if the resource neutral or does it have a clear bias to it. Next, we check the design and see if the visually pleasing and if the images are clear. Finally, technical elements that are for your purpose to see if the webiste is easy to evaluate, search, navigate, load quickly and much more.
