Embrace Doula Co. was birthed due to the extreme maternal mortality and morbidity rate within in the United States of America. It is a company dedicated to providing the support you need as you prepare for the birthing experience and life after childbirth. We believe in strong families and healthy communities and want to be part of yours. Our mission is to empower mothers and birthing individuals to be ready and capable every day as they learn about themselves and their children inside and outside the womb. Our commitment is to serve the Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), mothers, and birthing individuals of various communities. We tend to the community's needs based on each individual's request without judgment but with evidence-based knowledge and education.

Embrace Doula Co. offers an array of services to mothers and birthing individuals—from prenatal supportive coaching to postpartum doula support. We believe it is imperative to serve the total well-being of both parent and child. We tend to the needs of birthing individuals who have experienced trauma while pregnant and delivering their baby. Therefore our priority is to provide mothers and birthing individuals with the necessary comfort through proper birth planning, physical techniques, breathing exercises, emotional support, and massage support during labor, postpartum care, and a wide variety of referrals to other professionals such as medical providers, license therapist, physical therapist, lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapist, and acupuncturist etc.

Embrace Doula Co. is owned by Ja'Nelle Thompson, a graduate of the Cuny School of Professional Studies with a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration, and is a certified birth and postpartum doula. She's traveled helping women, children, and families in various capacities to achieve their parenting goals for over a decade. As an advocate of women's health, child educator, and medical professional, her passion for the health and well-being of the family structure has grown exponentially. Ja'Nelle's prenatal meetings are unique due to her holistic approach that combines empowerment, rejuvenation, and internal reflection. Her approach focuses on the total well-being of both parent(s) and children which includes love, support, care, and wise counsel which offers a unique and comprehensive approach to prenatal, birth, and postpartum care that addresses the whole person into better health. Her emphasis on empowerment and rejuvenation after visits highlight the significance of emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being alongside physical care within the birthing space and beyond.

" I am passionate about bringing every client and their family compassion into the birthing space and beyond because the birthing experience, pregnancy as well as postpartum can be a journey of unpredictability. Still, as a doula, my objective is to prepare, educate, affirm, and support you along the way as you desire.
