The EMBO Laboratory Leadership Course 2024 in Fukuoka will be held on November 30, 2024. This is an official satellite event of the 47th Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society of Japan (November 27-29, Fukuoka).
EMBO Laboratory Leadership Course 2024 in Fukuoka
This course will be the 3rd EMBO Laboratory Leadership Course to be held in Japan. The course will include lectures and small group discussions on leadership, research supervision, and fostering young researchers that are necessary to build a high-quality research team. While such courses are still unfamiliar in Japan, they are becoming common in Europe and the US (https://lab-management.embo.org/dates#group-leaders). The course will provide a unique opportunity to comprehensively learn about independent laboratory management. The course will be moderated by an EMBO lecturer and will be held in an international atmosphere with participants from overseas. Senior researchers will assist in facilitating group discussions so that even those who are not confident in English can participate. This course is intended for young PIs or those who have just started their career as PIs (limited to 40 participants, 1:1 male to female ratio).
