About Me

Welcome to my website. I am Dr. Evan Marschall,  a Green's Scholar Postdoctoral Research Fellow  at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego working with Dr. Alice-Agnes Gabriel.

My research focuses on earthquakes along complex fault networks and their associated hazards. This reseach mainly includes conducting fully dynamic 3D rupture simulations for earthquakes and utilizing quasi-static earthquake cycle models to investigate seimic hazard. I also have broad interests in tsunami modeling, ground motion and earthquake physics.

I received my Ph.D from the University of California Riverside in 2025 where I worked under Roby Douilly in the Observational and Computational Seismology Group.  Before attending UC Riverside,  I was at  UC Santa Barbara working in Zach Eilon's lab where I did undergraduate research and graduated with my B.S. in Earth Science with a geophysics emphasis in 2020.
