Service & Scholarships

We will be collaborating again with the JGHS Student Council and the Community Service Club to offer many volunteer opportunities to our students to increase their pride in the community at large and in themselves as citizens. Participation in these service opportunities enables students to be eligible for PTA Unit Scholarships their Senior Year of high school.

All Elwood PTA Units and Elwood SEPTA – Provide college scholarship awards to students who have dedicated time to volunteering at Elwood schools and community events. These scholarship awards honor students who have contributed to the Elwood community by giving of their time and talents to support activities at each of the school buildings and beyond.

Awards: One $500.00 Scholarship is offered by: Harley Avenue Primary School PTA, James H. Boyd Intermediate School PTA, & Elwood Middle School PTA. Three to five $500.00 Scholarships are offered by: Elwood-John Glenn High School PTSA & Elwood PTA Council. Three $500.00 Scholarships are offered by: Elwood SEPTA. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipients. Please have your child visit guidance for copies of the applications.
