World, character and story crafting
For our videogame production class, we had to redact all the documentation for an original videogame project. In my case, I went for a little ghost story about a small child that sees ghosts.
It was inspired by Galician imaginery and the main themes were fear and how it can transform how we perceive reality, the subtle invalidation of children emotions and the abandonement of the rural spaces.
Interactive fiction developed for a TTRPG session with some colleagues based on the micro-system "Roll for Shoes". They challenged me saying that the spanish "The Goose Game" wasn't fun.
I'd developed a simple board made with card and each section had a situation the players had to resolve with their characters.
For our production class, we developed an original animated project.
Using this opportunity, I wanted to explore the invisibility of the mental illnesses. So, I redacted all the docmentation for the creation of a 10 minutes rotoscoped short, where a girl goes through her daily routine while suffering from depression. She and everyone around them are completely oblivious to this fact, but that doesn't stop the illness -represented as little creatures around her- to alter her reality and make her suffer.
The genre was terror and drama, eventhough I wanted her daily life to be really peacefull.
