After discussing key issues in the discussion of language, there lie three important concepts 'form, meaning and use' considering the field of English language teaching. The form is the structure of the language, the meaning is the result of the structure, and the use is how and when is the structure of the language is used for appropriate meaning because, for example, we know that “I am watching TV” is very different from “I was watching TV” in terms of communication. Thus, what is discussed here is that language teaching and learning in turn is closely related to accuracy, meaningfulness and appropriateness.
The form of the language involves: Syntax, Morphology and Phonology. The content or meaning deals with Semantics. The use of the language is related to Pragmatics.
