The ground floor of Aldridge is our most social area, with a coffee shop and areas for group study.
On the second floor students can gather in small groups for a quieter study experience with it's small group tables and dedicated breakout rooms.
The reading room overlooks the beautiful river.
The basement is our best kept secret with private study booths providing secluded spaces for students.
Aldridge Library would not be the same without Eleanor "Ellie" Brooks. Our head librarian has a passion for learning, and is happy to help students find what they need, whether it be a book, a journal, a website, or a quiet study area overlooking the river.
Ellie's organisational skills are essential in a library of this size. She has an extraordinary ability to find just what you need, even if it's not where it was meant to be.
In her free time you might find Ellie stocking one of the store rooms up with blankets for the students who fall asleep after a late night studying in the library.
