EdHeads- This interactive website is a good tool for students to use while learning about different topics in life science. There are investigations, labs, and activities for students to complete. This type of interactive learning helps engage students into the subject matter.

For each topic, the website includes a Unit Guide with all materials, goals of teaching, and discussion questions included.
The Teacher's Corner- This website is great for finding lesson plan ideas, worksheets, handouts, and activities for elementary life science. Extensions are included in most of the activities to stretch the idea and the students' thinking even a little further if need be. The handouts and worksheets on this website are printable.
Frog Dissection- This high-quality app is great for students studying the body and different organs that make up the body. There is a narration included so you know exactly what to do while dissecting the frog. This interactive app will engage students in learning about the different organs of the body.
3-D Cell Simulation- This app will help students learn about the cell and its structures that make up the cell. Students have the ability to rotate the cell 360 degrees and zoom in on any cell structure. By clicking on a specific cell structure, students can learn more about the location and functions of the structures.
The Virtual Bacterial ID Lab- This virtual app will help students identify different types of bacteria based on the DNA sequences. This app was created for high school students or older, so it is a little too in depth for elementary students. However, teachers could use this app in order to prepare for a lesson on DNA or pathogens.
