Websites:

• EdHeads- This interactive website is a good tool for students to use while learning about different topics in life science. There are investigations, labs, and activities for students to complete. This type of interactive learning helps engage students into the subject matter.
• Annenberg Learner- This website includes many different workshops on various topics of life science. Each workshop includes learning goals and an outline of the main points of the video. This is a great website for teachers to refer to when prepping to teach life science.
• Learning Science- This website includes interactive lessons for grades K-12. This website also includes the life science standards for grades K-12. Each standard includes various videos and interactive lessons for students to complete.
• Science A-Z- This website is a great resource for teachers who are teaching life science (grades K-6). This website includes lesson plan ideas, books to reference to while preparing to teach. For each topic, the website includes a Unit Guide with all materials, goals of teaching, and discussion questions included.
• The Teacher's Corner- This website is great for finding lesson plan ideas, worksheets, handouts, and activities for elementary life science. Extensions are included in most of the activities to stretch the idea and the students' thinking even a little further if need be. The handouts and worksheets on this website are printable.

Apps/Virtual Labs:

• Frog Dissection- This high-quality app is great for students studying the body and different organs that make up the body. There is a narration included so you know exactly what to do while dissecting the frog. This interactive app will engage students in learning about the different organs of the body.
• 3-D Cell Simulation- This app will help students learn about the cell and its structures that make up the cell. Students have the ability to rotate the cell 360 degrees and zoom in on any cell structure. By clicking on a specific cell structure, students can learn more about the location and functions of the structures.
• The Virtual Bacterial ID Lab- This virtual app will help students identify different types of bacteria based on the DNA sequences. This app was created for high school students or older, so it is a little too in depth for elementary students. However, teachers could use this app in order to prepare for a lesson on DNA or pathogens.
• Virtual Labs- This website consists of many different virtual labs for many different topics of life science. Some virtual labs contain labeling, other contains videos and other activities. These virtual labs help students to better grasp the content by using visuals and other activities.
• Virtual Labs- This is another great website for life science virtual labs. There are lab activities, clear objectives, post-lab quizzes, and a lab report to fill out.
