Our Collaboration
The completion of the project in the spring of 2023 included two-page summaries of each trail that highlight trail information and a trail data overview to enhance user understanding of trail characteristics. These two-page summaries include information about the trail terrain such as terrain type, any obstacles like large rocks, availability of accessible features such as parking and bathrooms, presence of amenities like rest areas or benches along the route, data such as grade or average width of the trail, the sensory experiences along the route, and different types of trail users typically present. These two-page summaries aimed to be a synthesis of our work and act as public-facing, concise, and aesthetic overviews of the trails we evaluated.
We have also summarized our project in the form of a team website, with the goal that it is accessible, informational, and aesthetic. The website provides our community partners and the public an opportunity to explore our methods, work, team, and deliverables in an interactive and intuitive format. Internally, we have provided Travel Lane County-Eugene Cascades and Coast with access to Google applications (like Google Drive, and Google Docs) with high-quality pictures of the trail, our organized raw data taken throughout the project, and management protocols in a way that is intuitive and replicable for any other groups looking to accomplish similar projects.
