Find a cause you care about and spend some time with them today! Chose from those listed below, or view more volunteer opportunities at VolunteerElPaso.org
"The Rescue Mission first and foremost acts as an emergency shelter for anyone experiencing homelessness. We work with the El Paso Coalition for the Homeless to make sure that needs are met across the city. The Mission also provides three fresh meals each day, showers and laundry facilities, job search help, counseling and bible study classes.
The Rescue Mission is completely supported by donors like you. Without your support we would not be able to continue to provide services to our community in El Paso.
We are always looking for volunteers! We are open every day of the year, and there is always a way for our community to connect with our residents. You don't need a whole lot of time to make a huge difference in someone's life. Email Skye at volunteer@rmelp.org to schedule your time to help."
"Volunteer with us at the Cafe or in the Garden. Sign up here and Peggy, our manager, will get back to you with additional information. Please read all of the information found at the bottom of this page for details you’ll need to know. Thank you! We’re grateful for your interest and your help!
PLEASE come help us garden EVERY Wednesday from 8:30 am – 10:30 am in our garden on the grounds of the cafe in the back. We have TWO master gardeners who have volunteered their own time to help us maintain the garden AND teach anyone who arrives gardening techniques! What an incredible opportunity! FREE gardening lessons!!"
"Whether they come once per week or once per year, each volunteer on our team is essential to the daily running of Kelly. We need help filling boxes, sorting and distributing food, client intake, gardening, and more! Individuals, families, and groups can all pitch in to help us serve our clients."
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteers are vital to the Food Bank. Every day, volunteers assist in our warehouse, office and around the community to ensure our operation continues to be most efficient.
Volunteers come from all walks of life and share one thing in common - the willingness to give of themselves to help their neighbors in need. When you donate your time, you become a partner in the fight against hunger.
TYPES OF WORK:
Sort Food: Volunteers assess and sort boxes of food items and household products that have been donated. Pre-sort, repack, re-label all to prepare for our partner agencies to distribute the food.
Pull Orders: Volunteers fill orders placed by our partner agencies so that they can serve the people in need. Some heavy lifting may be required.
Office: Volunteers assist with general administrative tasks including filing, data entry, mailings and other light office duties. Computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite is helpful.
Special Events: Volunteers help staff our special events.
Most volunteer activities take place at our distribution center in El Paso (Monday through Friday, from 9 A.M.-12 P.M. and 1 P.M.-4 P.M.) Special events and food drives take place off site. For more information about volunteering, contact Joe Hernandez at 915-298-0353 or joehernandez@feedingamerica.org"

"The Foodshare Committee coordinates various groups within the community who wish to serve and/or provide meals to the homeless. Volunteers can contact this committee to sign up for a date to either serve either lunch or dinner to our homeless. Groups can choose to provide food or serve food prepared at the Opportunity Center. This program is a huge help in ensuring our homeless have warm, nutritious meals and is a wonderful way for community members to share a meal with the homeless! If you are interested in helping with a meal, please take a look at our calendar page to see which days you could fit in and contact Bessie Evans at 755-4170 to set a date."

"Reynolds Home is a homeless shelter for women and children, located in the heart of Lower Valley of El Paso.
Volunteers are the sustaining (life force), the shoulders on which we stand today at Reynolds Home. Beginning in 1990, moving us forward into 2016 and onward for the next 25 years, one family reached out to enlarge the circle of friends, today moving forward into the community, all committed to improving the lives of others.
There are many ways you can nurture and support the growth of children and and mothers seeking to become strong, secure families. Your time and experience is valuable to the women and children who reside at Reynolds Home."
On the Reynolds Home volunteer page, there are suggestions for how you might be able to contribute. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out the form on their website and indicate the areas you feel you can help. Thank you in advance for helping families move forward out of shelters.
