Infectious diseases are the diseases caused by bacteria and viruses most of the times.
A disease is contagious when it can be transmitted to another person. Like, for example, a cold or a flu. You can transmit the disease when you sneeze or cough and you don’t cover your nose and mouth.
Some diseases can be transmitted only by a mosquito, like the malaria.
The body reacts to this infectious diseases with fever or inflamation, they are symptoms of infection.
1.2 NON-INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Non-infectious diseases are NOT caused by bacteria and viruses.
A non-infectious disease is NOT contagious, it can´t be transmitted to another person. Like, for example, allergies or diabetes, cancer, heart diseases cause by unhealthy lifestyle and mental diseases like alzheimer.
People can be allergic to dust or pollen. A person has diabetes when the body can´t produce enough insulin to control the levels of sugar within the blood.
