Auditions held on June 9 and June 10 at 3:30 pm (Students only need to attend one day)

The musical directors and choreographer will be the core part of the audition process and character selection. 

• There will be two casts. 

• Because of the large number of students auditioning for the cast this summer, not everyone that auditions will be placed in the cast.

• Dance and vocals for Footloose will be difficult and challenging.

Vocal Selections:  Choose one song below to sing for the audition (Please note the marked measures in the music to learn. Also, it is helpful but not required to learn the music prior to auditions.)

*This does not mean you are auditioning for a specific role only, but allows us to hear you in a style IF you are interested in something other than an ensemble role.  

DAY OF AUDITIONS: June 9 or June 10 at 3:30 pm in the BC Black Box: 

When you arrive at the auditions, please see Mrs. Brunner at the check-in table in the Black Box hallway to get an assigned audition number and name tag.

• Complete the audition form BEFORE auditions.

• The audition will fundamentally consist of 2 sections: dance and vocal.

• We anticipate the audition process will be approximately 2 hours.

• Please bring water. (And a snack, if needed.)

• Wearing comfortable clothing and dance shoes for the choreography portion are suggested (or comfortable shoes).

• Dance will be be first in the audition process, followed by vocal auditions. Heads up: the audition process may be recorded by the directors to help in the casting process.

• ONLY directors and students auditioning will be allowed at auditions.

IF we post you for callbacks (names will be posted on social media and/or emailed), callbacks will be June 11th at 3:30 pm and may consist of another dance portion, vocal, and possibly script readings.
