Yusra Millenbaugh has been an educator in Arizona for fifteen years. She began her teaching career in the Glendale Elementary School District where she taught first and third grade. She has been recognized as Outstanding New Teacher in 2001, Desert Garden Teacher of the Year in 2012 and AESD Cathy Stafford Passion and Commitment recipient in 2014 .

Mrs. Millenbaugh has also contributed to the field of education as a Master Teacher with the TAP Program, District Literacy Coordinator, and currently works as a Literacy Specialist for the Littleton Elementary School District. She also works as an adjunct instructor for the Grand Canyon University College of Education and an Academic Associate for Arizona State University Mary Lou Fulton Teachers' College.
