My family
Where some people have music or art in their souls, I have math. I have loved it for as long as I can remember! I received a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics at Brigham Young University and earned a Master's Degree in Biostatistics at the University of Washington. If you're interested, I'll explain what that means when you come for tutoring. I worked as a statistician for a few years, but when I began having children I chose to stay home with them. That's when I began tutoring. Since then, I have worked with hundreds of elementary school students and over 100 junior high and high school students. It's how I figured out that helping students succeed in their math classes is both my passion and my superpower.
I just moved back to Leesburg after almost 11 years in southern California. Four of my children have graduated from high school and my two youngest daughters attend Heritage High School. When I'm not tutoring or driving my kids around, I enjoy volunteering in my church, listening to audiobooks, walking in my neighborhood, playing Wordle, Quordle, and Sudoku, and having a bonfire at the beach.
