About
As a PhD candidate in Public Policy at the University of Washington with over 15 years of combined experience in policy research and economic analysis, I am eager to apply my skills in a non-academic setting to contribute to evidence-based policy research.
Prior to joining the Evans School of Public Policy, I worked as an Economic Policy Analysis Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. There I developed metrics and tools such as Labor Force Participation Dynamics and the Wage Growth Tracker and contributed numerous Federal Reserve Bank discussion papers and related blogs.
I have cultivated a strong interdisciplinary research approach throughout my academic journey and career, allowing me to analyze social policy issues through both economic and psychological lenses. My research interests center around policies that promote economic mobility and economic stability. My dissertation focuses on child development accounts. I am also interested in health policy and the social safety net and have done various research projects and papers reflecting these interests.
My expertise spans quantitative analysis like structural equation modeling and causal inference techniques, as well as qualitative methods such as semi-structured interviews. I also bring experience in running experiments and conducting implementation evaluations, which are central to my dissertation research.
I am passionate about making evidence-based research valuable for policymakers, including translating complex findings into actionable insights. For this reason, I am currently on the PhD job market and seeking roles with policy-oriented research firms and think tanks. I thrive in environments where collaboration, innovation, and critical thinking shape the solutions to pressing public issues.
