Experiments
(2022-present)
vUna is a vast collection of experiments and products that I have been developing over the past four years. I’ve used various methods and materials to create new, more interesting textures. Sustainability plays a crucial role in my design process, which is why all materials are either natural or recycled. These experiments include color studies, biomaterial production, and the recycling of materials such as paper, stone dust, and textiles.
Re-Scales (2025)
This experiment was inspired by fish scales—a texture I’ve always found fascinating. As I mentioned earlier, during my childhood I often accompanied my father on fishing trips, spending quiet hours on the boat. With nothing else to do, I observed everything around me—especially the anatomy of fish, which struck me as perfectly designed. I was particularly drawn to the scales: transparent, yet firm and sharp.
As an imitation of this natural phenomenon, I recycled plastic bags from grocery stores, which are used for everything in daily life. I had so many of them that I felt the need to repurpose them, giving the material a chance to exist in a new and different form.
