About
Ella Bratić is a product designer with a main focus on creating beautiful yet sustainable designs. She is inspired by nature, particularly the elements tied to her identity. She was born in Bihać, a small town graced with the monumental beauty of nature. The combination of creativity and environmental consciousness is what Ella weaves into every design she creates.
In her work, she uses natural, recycled, and upcycled materials to ensure her products have minimal impact on our magnificent planet. Her approach is based on slow processes and minimal changes. Spending hours on a single segment of a product is her way of protesting against fast-paced industries.
„For the past four years, I have been working on vUna, and I am not close to completing it. The objective is to make viewers appreciate the beauty of the Una River and realize the harm we've done in the past, motivating them to take steps to safeguard it from further harm. Recognition is the first step in protecting nature. The name and essence of the project are derived from a synthesis of two key concepts: my subjective perception of the Una River, which represents a connection to my childhood, and wool, a material that evokes relaxation and nature due to its origin. (vuna + Una = vUna)“
