In the workshop today, we learned about how to present and edit/enhance our captured images effectively for presentation. This showed us a range of software and methods within the software to create an effective look.
Today we attended a screenprint workshop where we were shown an example of the screenprinting process
For the poster workshop, we had to create an initial poster response for our idea. I chose to create a basic initial poster design of what the bar could look like, with a logo (undecided name). I opted for sea-like colours and theme. We then put up our posters and recieved feedback. The overall constructive feedback I recieved was that it was unclear what the brand was, values etc. I will take this feedback onboard and use it in my further developments.
In the photography workshop, the photography specialist visited to show us what photography resources we have available to us on site. We then had 7 different lighting 'zones' set up for us to practice taking photographs with. These included outdoor natural lighting, spots of daylight, backlit light boxes, artificial lighting, copy stands, LED professional lighting, and a green screen background. Each of these different lighting situations had their pros and cons. We chose to photograph a water bottle; for us, we found more natural lighting and the professional lighting was better for our images. We found the backlit boxes particularly hard to work with, along with the lamps. It was really helpful to visualise what different light setting worked in different situations.
