Today in the lecture we were explained the brief for this project and the expectations of the research folder and how it should be layed out. It has to be in the form of a google site. I looked on moodle to find a google site guide, and an existing example which helped.
In todays lecture we were told about interesting parts of Portsmouth, which helped inform our ideas for a project. This included alot about the sea, and the boats on show around Portsmouth
Today we recieved a lecture about 'learning to look up'. This was prior to the observational walk, as to inform us with ways in taking in and capturing our surroundings. The story was about looking up and seeing a symbol, looking further into it and researching, which then informed an entire masters degree project. I kept this in mind on the observational walk, which enabled me to look at things from a different angle.

Double Diamond model - the concept of design process (further research - https://www.designcouncil.org.uk/our-resources/framework-for-innovation/) 'This is not a linear process as the arrows on the diagram show. Many of the organisations we support learn something more about the underlying problems which can send them back to the beginning. Making and testing very early stage ideas can be part of discovery. And in an ever-changing and digital world, no idea is ever ‘finished’. We are constantly getting feedback on how products and services are working and iteratively improving them.'
