The Library is open at all times, is not staffed, and relies on the honor system.
Please follow all procedures as printed on the desks.
Over 5,000 books are available, shelved by author within category/shelf.
2024 & 2025 books are shelved together on “New Books” shelves.
Be sure to SIGN OUT ALL BOOKS you take, including those from the return bin or the return desk -- this is important to keep track of circulation & missing books. Sign out all books in all seasons, at their respective desks.
SIGN OUT ALL BOOKS : Adult & Young Adult (YA), Audio and Childrens books at their respective desks.
Return NEW BOOKS in one week; OLD BOOKS in two weeks. The summer is short and we want books to circulate!
TO BORROW A BOOK:
Adult & YA books: sign out at desk with green box, in the center of the library, using one "Borrowed" slip per book.
Use a PINK SLIP for each 2024 & 2025 (NEW) book & a WHITE (“OLD Book Borrowed”) for older books.
2025 books were shelved on NEW BOOKS shelves on May 24, 2025.
Audiobooks: Use one yellow/gold slip per audiobook, in the Reading Room at the shelf near the lake-view window.
Children's books: sign your books out in the 3-ring binder on the desk in the Junior Library.
Find your camp page (alphabetical) and write the date & the title of the books you are taking out.
Paperback books in the reading room DO NOT NEED TO BE SIGNED OUT. Just take and enjoy.
TO RETURN A BOOK: No "return" slips; you do not need to sign the books in at return.
Adult: Use the return slot on the driveway side of the library, OR: put the book on the return desk in the library.
Please do not re-shelve it (this helps us know what books have circulated, guiding future buying).
Childrens books: return to the cart under the Junior Library desk.
Open the binder to the section of the camp where you stay.
Locate the title of the book you are returning. Write the return date.
