Hello, and thank you for visiting my site! I have been in education since 2008. I know, I look good, right!? In all seriousness, though, I would consider myself an intensely passionate, quirky, and relatable educator. As a current doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Teaching at Nova Southeastern University, I continue to improve my craft and follow my dream of one day being an Ed.D. In the classroom, I challenge my students to take science to the next level by creating plays, art, and building models. I am tough on them, but I am fair and enjoy my time making a difference in my students' lives.
I have instructed every secondary science subject you could imagine, except for Physics; it's not my forte. Over all of these years, I have taught in charter schools, religious schools, public schools, and even at a Native American school. Due to all of these unique and demanding experiences, I have learned that teaching is like being on a stage, you are the actor that is being observed. When you laugh, students laugh; when you cry, students cry; they are affected by their teacher. So I make sure to give them an Oscar-worthy performance every day!
Being a big Breaking Bad Walter White fan (ironically a cancer survivor and Chemistry teacher as well) "I am the one that knocks." Let the kids answer the door! Be that person who inspires students, parents, administration, and people in general! We got this!
