Provided leadership, supervision and coordination of health for staff and student across the school district. Advise district leaders on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines. Oversee health staff performance evaluations, address personnel concerns, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary. Develop and maintain school health policies and procedures. Serve as a key liaison among students, families, school staff and community recourses. Participate with special education teams and ensure adherence to the Nurse Practice Act through delegation, training and supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel. Educated antenatal/postpartum patients, determined their educational needs and developed and implemented a patient-tailored care plan. Undertook individual visits to evaluate risk factors based on age, weeks’ gestation, BMI and mental health history. Conducted immediate postnatal mother/baby assessments and counseled on healing, medications, breastfeeding, proper newborn weight gain and maternal emotional health resources.

Certified Nursing Assistant: Highgate Senior living Bellingham, WA                             July 2011-September 2013

Cared for 10-12 residents per shift. Obtained and recorded residents’ vital signs, intake and output. Answered call lights to determine residents’ needs. Bathed, dressed, served and collected food trays and safely feed residents requiring assistance. Repositioned bedfast residents to prevent bedsores and ensured a safe, supportive and task-efficient environment.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Skagit Valley Hospital, M Vernon, WA

Completed a total of 450 clinical hours with rotations at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital. Acquired and continued to develop competencies in acute care, operating room, family birth, ICU, ED, and mental health.

Preceptorship: Skagit Valley Hospital CCU Mount Vernon, WA            

Completed a total of 96 hours caring for patients on a 1:1 ratio with chronic and acute illnesses in the critical care unit. Performed assessments, obtain/charted pertinent information, administered medications/IV solutions, performed wound care, prioritized workload, reported to oncoming nurse regarding patient care and continue collaboration with medical staff for adult patients.
