Mold. That's the word NO ONE wants to hear during a home inspection. But there is a problem. Mold is airborne. Its microscopic. When conducting a home inspection, we are visually inspecting the home from top to bottom. We try to cover all areas but are sometimes limited due to wall coverings (drywall for example), floor coverings, or many other aspects that may conceal mold. This is why offer our clients mold testing by taking actual air samples. These samples are taken from multiple locations throughout the house (and a control sample from outside of home). They are then sealed and overnighted to a lab for proper testing. These tests report back to any mold or allergen that is present in the air at that time. So even if you have severe allergies, our air quality testing can help you.
