Meet your Trainer
Cayla Carpenter
Founder/Owner/Trainer
Cayla grew up with two Dalmatians, Scout and Chief, that were trained for fire safety demonstrations and confirmation shows. Watching and working with those dogs at a young age, she knew she loved working with animals. After finishing her freshman year of college, Cayla adopted her first dog Jake from a shelter in Alabama, where she began training him basic commands. She faced a challenge of teaching him recall, where she reached out to a trainer, who soon became her mentor, to help her grow her education in dog training. After getting her dog back from the board and train, she continued working Jake to advanced levels of obedience, and traveled to Tennessee multiple times a year for pack walks and shadowing to continue watching and learning from her mentor.
Fast forward two years, she had just finished a two week internship training Labrador retrievers for scent work in bomb and drug detection. She was a trainer for a local pet store, when she saw her mentor was looking to add another trainer to her team. Cayla joined the team in the beginning of 2022, where from then, she has gained an abundant amount of hands on knowledge and experience with a variety of dogs, including a wolfdog. She also got her second dog, Rolex, during this time, who has provided her with even more challenges as a trainer and a dog owner.
Cayla's love for dogs and training is only matched by her work ethic and ability to accomplish vital training and care tasks, no matter the circumstance. She has her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Entrepreneurship from Jacksonville State University, in Jacksonville, Alabama.
When Cayla isn't working with clients, she is usually found hiking with her dogs, or working towards earning titles in sports. She is currently working towards competeing in GRC Dogsports with her American Pit bull Terrier, Rolex. Where, once he passes his SR, he will go to compete in wall climb, weight pull, and spring pole. He will also begin trialing in AKC Agility this year. Both Jake and Rolex have their CGC titles, and Jake has his CGCA. Jake will be taking his CGCU later this year.
