Manufactured materials can be collected from combat kills, salvage or emission instances, some of which as missions rewards. 

The most efficient method of farming for manufactured materials is to gather high-grade materials and trade them down for lower grades, and to use thargoid invasion/alert missions(or Robigo missions if you select the material rewards) for the Biotech Conductors and Exquisite Focus Crystals.
