Math courses are a common stumbling block for college students. The UNC System launched the Math Pathways project in 2017 to promote collaborative, evidence-based changes to gateway math and statistics courses to improve students' success in math. I have evaluated math outcomes for undergraduates across the UNC System. I worked with Appalachian State University, Fayetteville State University, and UNC Wilmington math faculty to evaluate efforts at those institutions designed to improve math learning and success.

UNC Charlotte's STEM Academy is designed to help faculty improve STEM learning by implementing student-centered teaching approaches. I provide assessment expertise to program faculty and evaluation expertise to the program leaders to determine the effectiveness of the STEM Academy program.
In this NSF-sponsored project, I evaluate the effectiveness of different intervention approaches to educate graduate students about good authorship practices.
