My name is Elisa, I am an Anthropocene and environment artist. Since the time when I started my artistic life I loved to work with Acrylic paints and called it as my main media. I started to work with oil paint when I was a young girl but only when I got into high school I was able to professionalised oil paints as one of my working media. I wanted to explore relationship between Anthropocene and nature more. I started with spiritual animals, then mountains ( see Mountainscape in the era of Global Warming) ; and will gradually exploring this world more. I am gradually developed my painting style through project and practice.
Psychological landscape and inner world have been prominent
contemporary themes and cultural issues within fields of Fine Arts Painting.
These themes could be informed by emotions, colours, subjective,
objective, and narrative perspectives, without being too foreshadowed by
backgrounds, yet they carried complex implications within people’s mental
and physical health. Hence, in my painting practices, I considered
landscapes and those spirits growing on them as significant subjects. As a
painter with a Fine Arts background and Psychological base research
experiences, I believe painting could be tools for contemporary context of
Psychotherapy, which mainly focused on depicting the psychological
phenomena of what people actually see and what their inside world actually
like, according to my own experience of losing my grandfather as well as
others. I positioned my painting practices within the contemporary context of
neglected human emotions and its rules played within causes of mental and
physical health issues. As a contemporary painter, I speak out for it, not only
for stereotypes of discrimination with people who have it, but also for those
who suffer from not being able to release their emotions properly. I embrace
a diverse range of mediums. My research based paintings transcend
meanings of human emotions nowadays.
