''I am collaborating with nature, city and souls......''
-This is a transition age depict the impact of cities in which two countries fight with each other. Which made me feel that they are both digging their own grave. (Acrylic painting)
-’My artistic intention is to create a fragmented abstract painting, which communicates the chaotic atmosphere caused by the Transition age, what exactly
makes up this transition age and what exactly the people have in this transition age with the rich getting richer and poor getting poor as a result of the trade
war between USA and China. ‘’
-I create this painting by using Canvas, Acrylic paints, pencils, pen and eraser.
-I intend to achieve this by applying black, orange, red, blue, green, purple, pink, using materials available at school to create my fragmented aesthetic.
-It also shows hope for rebuilding after the trade war.
-Shows feelings related to Destruction
-frequent use of black, ochre, crown, yellow, dark green, blue grey and light yellow
-building and landscape are both fragmented because of the war.
-Green in the painting to represent sadness
-hope for rebuilding after the war
Contemporary theme: polarisation of humanity -smoky images represent the disruption of war
My intention in this painting was to
demonstrate that even in the best of
times, there is always a negative side to
it. While the season of harvest seems to
be luxurious and dazzling, some
aspects are actually dark and corrupted.
The harvest season means not only fruit
and grains but also plastic pollution and
damage to living creatures. I was
inspired by the Dutch still life paintings
of bounty and decay by Frans Snyders.
This Acrylic painting using the concept of magnification and distortion. By distorted and magnificated of the shapes of squashes and seashells. This painting depicted my love to the sea creatures and intended to urged everyone to protect our ocean.

My artistic intention is to create 3 abstract paintings by using slightly different medias and materials ( materialism)
which communicates the effect of sea pollution by humanity. These painting aim to encourage people to protect the
sea environment and is a warning about what may happened if they don’t. I intended to created these painting by
using the concept of fragmentation and creating them by using acrylic and watercolour. These artworks aim to
reflected on the contemporary theme of human and nature.
This clay sculpture depicted a crying fish because of the demaged of the coral system. My intention was to communicate the negative impact of sea pollution on marine life . This sculpture encouraged people to protect the sea environment. I used black clay to build a muted fish with coral outgrowths and applied a range of different gazes to create texture and a sense of the impact of pollutants.
This clay sculpture demonstrated the negative impact of sea pollution to all the marine lifes as well as a mood of meaning clean sea environment. This sculpture aims to encouraged people to restore the sea environment. This sculpture was created because my sad mood associated with the passing of my beloved grandpa and my most favourite art teature leaving the school.
-Seashells are actually
colourful from the outside
unlike just looking deadly
white like everybody in this
world which is influenced by
‘all the light we cannot see.’
-This painting shows clear use of
smooth gradation which changes
its tonal value gradually from light
to dark, but also it transformed
the colour.
-This technique creates a
contrast between the light tone
and the dark tone providing a
sense of space. I used this
technique to create a texturalised
composition along with combing
the use of flat color

Name: Fleeing to Egypt (1)
Medium: Oil paints on cotton duck canvas
Size: 60 x 40 cm
The first painting is inspired by Arthur Hughes’ Ophelia. This painting is deeply associated with Merton’s mental health and changes of personal emotions as each room within Russell- Cotes shows. The colonialism issue of immigration within him and my memories dragged me into this kind of dramatic methods of impressionism like oil painting of light within psychological spaces that create realm and aura with psychological war and disparities.
Name: Fleeing to Egypt (2)
Medium: Oil paints on cotton duck canvas
Size: 74x 55.5 cm
The second painting is inspired by Anno Domini or the Flight into Egypt and Siegfield by Maxwell Ashby Armfield. This painting is deeply associated with Merton’s excitement of traveling around this world. The main character shown in this painting is a hero called Siegfried which is a type of hero that ruled the world and stands atop the mountains at the mouth of the cave in which opera Brünnhilde was taking place ( Act III). This painting influenced the western Mythology culture that was prevalent within the Pre-Raphaelite painters. The cliff is blue because it is influenced by the forms of waves I saw from Poole Bay which form a dramatic contrast with those desert and date trees in the background just like the rooms of Russell-Cotes and Poole Bay view outside the window.
