About the series
The series originated from a reading of Haruki Murakami's Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Specific objects mentioned in the novel—a skull, a wallet, paper clips, a watch—formed the initial mood board. From there, the photographic compositions developed intuitively, eventually incorporating elements not found in the book.
The archive framing the series is an imaginary system designed to organize the photographs with detachment; however, their visual complexity undermines this neutrality. Within this structure, the images coexist and find their own internal relationships.
