Together with Yuhan Jiang, I wrote a paper describing a general method of computing Ehrhart h*-polynomials for alcoved polytopes. As an application, we were able to give a simple bijective proof of the formula for the h*-polynomial of the second hypersimplex, which had previously only been shown using a complex inclusion-exclusion argument to count the objects enumerated by this polynomial.
In summer 2021, I participated in the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Research Experience for Undergraduates (UMN REU). In one project, mentored by Prof. Vic Reiner, I studied simplicial complexes associated with matroids and the weak Lefschetz property. Here is the preprint for the first portion of the project (matroids), which is to appear in The Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, and a report for the second portion of the project (Lefschetz), and slides.
At the UMN REU, I also studied lattice models and puzzles under the mentorship of Claire Frechette. Here is the resulting report.
In summer 2020, I participated in MIT's Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) with Katie Gravel. We completed a research project in polyhedral combinatorics mentored by Alexey Balitskiy. Here is a preprint.
General research interests: geometric combinatorics, including polytopes, Ehrhart theory, hyperplane arrangements, poset topology
