How to Log In To Class - Using Your RAM ID

At CCSF we are using a learning management system called Canvas. It is essentially our course website where all of the learning, assignments and so forth will take place. To log in to our class, you'll need your RAM ID. If you don't have one yet, don't worry, I have instructions below.

Logging into Canvas

(NOTE: Your Canvas password is the same as the password for your RAM ID account)

Claiming your RAM ID

Don't have a RAM ID? What is the RAM ID?

The RAM ID is CCSF's single sign-on. It's new! To claim your RAM ID go to the MyCCSF page and choose "RAM ID self-service".  Or go to the direct link: https://ramid.ccsf.edu/self-service/

Choose "Claim your RAM ID". You will be asked for an activation code. You may have received one in your CCSF email (Option 1 below)  If not, or if you have lost it, choose the option to request a new activation code, then check your CCSF email for the code. (Option 2 below)

Be sure to complete the RAM ID process all the way through.  If you stop part way, you can return to the process by using the “Already Have Account Claim Code” link. If that does not work, use the Request for Account Claim Code link to start over.

If you need help finding your CCSF email, login to Web4, and find your email address or reset your password.

To login to your email:

REMEMBER: The password you make for your RAM ID account will be the password you use when you log in to Canvas.

Wait List

If you are on the wait-list for either class, providing that there is space, you will be added from the wait-list in the order that you were placed on the wait-list generated by Admissions and Records. The instructor cannot put you on a waiting list. The College's registration process controls the waitlist system. If you are on the wait-list for IDST 80C and a space becomes available during the first week of class, you will be added in order from the college generated wait-list.
