Building for Erosion Control
Summary
Summary
Humans try to control erosion by reinforcing the surface being eroded. This is the purpose of a bank reinforcement—to make the bank of a river or the shore of a lake or ocean more resistant to wearing away.
Your local government has hired you to design and test a reinforcement for a riverbank. You will evaluate the effectiveness of your design by how much the reinforcement reduces riverbank erosion.
