Elena Latini (born 1980) is a visual artist focused on drawing.
She graduated with honors in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Since the early 2000s she has been exhibiting her work and in 2004 she self-produced Le luci bianche, a book with her drawings, etchings and poems.
She has published a limited art book of which she is the author both the etchings and the poems with Il Ragazzo Innocuo (Le luci bianche, Milano 2005) and etchings with L’Obliquo (Brescia 2007, 2009). Her drawings and etchings are included in some public collections such as the Civica Raccolta del Disegno di Salò and the Museo Civico delle Cappuccine di Bagnacavallo. In 2005 she drew, in collaboration with other artists, Sol LeWitt's Wall Drawings at Galleria Studio G7 in Bologna.
Years later she also became interested in illustration and she got the Master in editorial illustration from the Academy of Fine Art in Macerata in 2011.
Her current practice lies in a boundary field between drawing and illustration, and ranges from series of drawings to projects of which she is the author both the text and the illustrations.
Recent exhibitions and events include: BilBOlbul International Comics Festival, Bologna 2016; Combat Prize Finalist in the Drawing section, Museo Fattori, Livorno 2020; Galleria Studio Cenacchi, Bologna 2022; illustrated cassettes for This Is Not A Love Song 2023 and 2024, online publication on Belgian comics project Grandpapier, 2024.
