cv

I obtained a PhD in Statistical Sciences from the University of Padua. My PhD dissertation, titled “Average and quantile effects of more instruction time in low achieving schools: evidence from Southern Italy”, studied the average and non-linear effects of a programme providing extra instruction time to students in lower secondary schools in Southern Italy. During my PhD, I benefited from a period as a visiting scholar at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and at the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy, at Bocconi University, where I also worked as a research assistant before starting my PhD.

Right after the PhD, I joined the European Commission Joint Research Centre: from October 2013 until September 2016, I had been a Postdoctoral Researcher at Centre for research on Education and Lifelong Learning (CRELL), and in October 2016 I became a research fellow at the Competence Center on Microeconomic-Evaluation.
