The greatest advantage to teaching multiple content areas is that you understand the importance of each area and have the opportunity to teach accross those curriculums. Consider using Project Based Learning to tie your content areas together.
This is an example of a Weather PBL Activity for 2nd Grade. Each content area contributed to this cross-curricular project. You can make a copy of this Slides presentation to use as a model. You can also make a copy of any of the resources within the Slides if you would like to use this with your own class.
