What's an electrovoyage?

Have you ever wondered why my name is electrovoyage? Or maybe you had no idea what my profile picture is? Well, this page will try and explain it all!

First of all, what is the origin of my name?

At some point, I was working on a really, really bad Portal 2 map. It was going to be the first one in a mappack called "Flight", and the first one was going to feature Faith Plates. So, it was going to have the subtitle "electrovoyage", combining the spatial propulsion (voyage) and probable electricity consumption (electro) of faith plates.

And then I went to bed and couldn't get my mind off the fact that this would make a pretty cool name.

My profile picture, and the icon of this site, is based on the tintable box model I made for Portal 2, tinted the top-right-most color in the Windows color picker (RGB: 255 128 255). When I was only starting out making Source models tintable, the "complete model pack" had the image of this pink cardboard box:

And I guess then I thought this would probably be the most important element of the site, because I made it the site's icon. And then also my profile picture.

Since then, it's been simplified while creating an icon for my project called electrovoyage's Hammer Launcher. (thank you PDX for the icon ^-^)
