Air Quality Meter

Coronavirus spreads through the air

People infected with Covid-19 can transmit it to a room with tiny airborne droplets (aerosols) when they exhale, talk, shout, or sing.

Unfortunately aerosols are so small that we cannot see or measure them, but we also exhale CO2 (carbon dioxide) a byproduct of respiration that is easier to measure.

So the level of CO2 in a space can be used as proxy for the possible risk of exposure to Covid-19 to preventively refresh the air in the space.

The Air Quality Meter is sensitive to a wide range of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and displays the measurements on the screen in an equivalent indication of eCO2 carbon dioxide

- under 1000 ppm - clean room air

- 1000ppm - 2000ppm - satisfactory fresh air (air refresh is recommended)

- Above 2000ppm - dangerously polluted air (air renewal is required)

At the same time, a much more simplified indication is provided by the perimeter lighting that it has, and indicates at a glance, in three colors, the state of the air in the space.

- Green indicator - clean air of space

- Blue indicator - satisfactory fresh air (air refresh is recommended)

- Red indicator - dangerously polluted air (air renewal is required)

The meter is simply inserted into an electrical outlet, while a red indicator above 5000ppm activates an audible alarm, optional remote control for air purifiers.
