Problem

On average, office employees don't put enough time into exercising. They could be sitting down at a desk in front of a computer all day. This can lead to harm for the businesses, especially if it's a small business. 

Existing Solutions: 

• Walking

• Some companies reimburse employees for expenditures on fitness programs and/or equipment

  • For example, Microsoft provides employees with $800 per year to spend on fitness (gym membership or maybe a treadmill)

• Companies, especially large ones, often build their complexes close to fitness centers to make it easy for employees to get to. 

Our Solution: (would have taken place after COVID lockdown)

We wanted to create a tent that people could visit during their off-hours. It would provide a quasi-VR experience, but the participants would focus their attention on a projector screen. Instead of a headset, the participant would put on a motion-tracking vest. During the experience, a dance routine would be projected and the participant would try to follow along. Besides being more fun, the vest as well as cameras would keep track of the person's motions, and then provide them with an analysis at the end of how close they were to mimicking the projection.
