Judge Dredd is a 1995 American science fiction action film, based on the comic book character of the same name. The film takes place in 2080 and depicts a dystopian world and the crime-ridden metropolis Mega-City One. Following an unspecified disaster that turned Earth into a "cursed" wasteland, the survivors established a corps of Judges whose role combines that of police, judge, jury and executioner. The film follows Judge Joseph Dredd, one of the most dedicated Street Judges, who has been framed for murder by his own half-brother — the psychotic Rico.
FUN FACT: Well-known automotive engineer, Sandy Munro, compared the Tesla Cybertruck to Judge Dredd’s Dredd-Mobile, a rugged vehicle designed to survive on the mean streets of the post-apocalyptic city.

Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it's a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning -- and outwitting -- humans.
FUN FACT: Okay, you got us. The star of this movie isn't an electric vehicle. BUT, this car doesn't run on gas; it runs on REVENGE!

Kia Niro PHEV review - DrivingElectric
March 15, 2019 | 7 min 14 sec
"The current generation Kia Niro is not long for this world, with an all-new model set to arrive later this year. However, the plug-in hybrid variant of Kia's mid-size SUV that's also available in all-electric and regular hybrid form has been a big hit for the South Korean carmaker. Compared to the regular hybrid model, the Niro PHEV is able to offer better fuel economy and a longer electric driving range thanks to a larger battery and a more powerful electric motor." - DrivingElectric
Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In hybrid review - DrivingElectric
January 26, 2018 | 3 min 33 sec
"While Ioniq is now the name of Hyundai’s all-electric sub-brand that includes the internet-breaking Ioniq 5, and the forthcoming Ioniq 6 saloon and Ioniq 7 SUV. This however is the original Ioniq hatchback, which in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) form remains the strongest rival to the Prius Plug-In, as well as others like the Kia Niro PHEV and Kia XCeed PHEV. Especially following an update for the 2020 model year that lowered the list price and running costs of the plug-in hybrid Ioniq. " - DrivingElectric
