My name is Domineque Bonifacio, or Dom for short, I was born and raised right here on Oahu in 2003, growing up near Foster Village in Aliamanu with my family of six. Until having to move and now residing here near Waipahu on Lumikula Street in 2021 due to economic and financial situations. I have seen, experienced, and know all too well the struggle of a working class family here in Hawaii. Raised by parents and grandparents along with my older sister. I was instilled from a young age to believe in the best, that when times are hard, there will be an uplift, to always be kind and put your best foot forward. My family has always been hard working while growing up, and I do not intend to change such a model. Before then, my father worked as a taxi driver, and my mother worked at the airport. My grandfather worked in roofing, and my grandmother worked at a bakery. Working so hard for my sister and I, forever indebted and grateful to have been raised by them.

My father is Ilocano, raised in Ilocos Norte, came from the Philippines in 1968 and met my mother, who is of Mixed Hawaiian Descent, and raised here on Oahu. The cost of living for my family has always caused us to stick together to make ends meet. I will never forget the sacrifices they have made to make a living and would like to make it so that the quality of life is better for the generations to come after.

Family first, compassion second, and always dedicated to do what must be done for the better.
