Minga London "Dad Jeans"

Worth-it Analysis
Okay, let's talk about these dad jeans...first of all I don't really know what "dad jeans" means, I've heard of "mum jeans" making a comeback so I think I'm on the right track, trend-wise BUT I do not think I can pull these jeans off. They look really cool...on the model, but irl I can't say the same. I think $100 is a fair price for a really good pair of jeans but to me, these aren't great value. They're a weird length, only look good with a crop top and are just sort of baggy where you don't want jeans to be baggy. I do feel like a trendsetter when I wear them but I've also only worn them twice. Yikes.

Aritzia "Super Puff" Puffer Jacket in Sun Valley

Worth-it Analysis
This might be one of, if not THE most expensive item of clothing I own, but I justify purchasing it for a few reasons. Despite living in Melbourne for nearly 15 years I didn't own a puffer jacket until I bought this and any Melbournian knows that YOU NEED A PUFFER JACKET. It might sit in your wardrobe or your car, unworn for a couple of months but when you need it, you really need it. And I can say that this jacket has gotten me through some chilly days, it's basically a wearable doona - what's not to love? Now obviously this is not your ordinary puffer jacket, it is REALLY puffy and also BRIGHT yellow, which to anyone else but me, might make this less wearable but I think that's what makes this so worth and such a statement piece.

Now for something completely different! A denim pinafore from good ol' Target. To me, this is an instant staple. Comfy, cute, casual. I wear this to the supermarket, the dog park and I'm sure if I were to pair it with a nice top I could get away with wearing it to work too...maybe. So was this worth the buy? It's hard to say no, but the fact that it's a little too casual (even for me) to wear to work has to come into consideration...

Quirkie Su Western Jacket
Worth-it Analysis
I think this post has made me realise that I like spending money on bold jackets but JUST LOOK AT THIS JACKET...OMG. Pastels! Pattern! Pockets! Oh my! I bought this to replace my old favourite throw-over-any-outfit jacket that was falling to bits and this has quickly become my new favourite. I love it so much I almost don't want to wear it. But I do. A lot. AND! get this, it's handmade by a mum and daughter small business duo (love that) and it's one of a kind and upcycled from an old quilt. How cool is that! Obviously my rating for this jacket is...

Second Hand Expression Tank Top
Worth-it Analysis
It wouldn't be right if I made this post without at least one thrift shop find, in fact I could have filled this page with fabulous "saves" exclusively from second hand shops but I thought I would limit it to just this top because it is an absolute fave. I've had this top for like 7 years and it has been to so many parties, concerts, coffee dates and picnics. The definition of wearable. Surprisingly comfortable for a spaghetti strap singlet, groovy colours and a flattering cut. 10s across the board...just wait until you see how much it cost
