Terms and Conditions for Eldridge Canine Academy

1. Introduction Welcome to Eldridge Canine Academy, a premier dog training and behavioural service provider based in Gloucestershire, UK. By enrolling your dog in our academy, attending training sessions, or using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and best outcomes for both dogs and their owners.

2. Definitions

• "Client" refers to the owner or handler of the dog registered for services.

• "Academy" refers to Eldridge Canine Academy, its trainers, staff, and affiliates.

• "Dog" refers to the canine enrolled in any training session, workshop, or service provided by the Academy.

3. Registration and Eligibility

• All dogs must be registered with Eldridge Canine Academy prior to attending any training session or service.

• Dogs must be up-to-date with required vaccinations, and evidence must be provided upon request.

• Clients must disclose any behavioural issues, aggressive tendencies, or health concerns prior to enrolment to ensure appropriate training measures are taken.

4. Payment and Cancellations

• Payment for services must be made in advance or according to the agreed payment schedule.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded to the client upon any request, unless deemed otherwise by Eldridge Canine Academy.

• In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness or emergencies, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule without penalty.

5. Code of Conduct

• Dogs must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed by a trainer.

• Clients are expected to adhere to trainer instructions during and outside of sessions to maintain consistency in their dog’s training.

• Aggressive behaviour that poses a risk to other dogs or clients may lead to removal from the session or termination of services, at the Academy’s discretion. NO WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED.

6. Liability and Safety

• Eldridge Canine Academy will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of all participants. However, dogs remain the responsibility of their owners at all times.

• The Academy is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damages resulting from a dog's participation in training sessions or other services, unless caused by the negligence of the Academy or its staff.

• Clients agree to assume all risks associated with dog training, including minor injuries such as nips, scratches, or other typical canine behaviours.

7. Health and Welfare

• Dogs must not attend training sessions if they are unwell or show signs of contagious conditions. Clients agree to notify the Academy promptly and reschedule if necessary.

• The Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog displaying signs of illness, aggression, or behaviour deemed unsafe.

8. Training Techniques

• Eldridge Canine Academy employs positive reinforcement and humane training methods. Harsh or punitive measures are strictly prohibited.

• Clients agree to reinforce the training principles taught during sessions and to practise exercises regularly at home for the dog’s best progress.

9. Media and Privacy

• The Academy may take photographs or videos during training for educational or promotional purposes. Clients who do not wish for their dog’s image to be used must let us know on the day.

• Personal information collected will be kept confidential and used solely for communication and service provision in accordance with data protection laws in the UK.

10. Complaints and Feedback

• The Academy values constructive feedback. Any concerns or complaints should be submitted in writing and will be addressed promptly.

• Clients are encouraged to communicate any suggestions or issues during or after training sessions.

11. Termination of Services

• Eldridge Canine Academy reserves the right to terminate training services if a client fails to comply with these terms and conditions or if continued service is deemed unsafe or inappropriate for the dog.

• Clients may terminate their participation at any time but may not be entitled to a refund for pre-paid services unless agreed upon in writing.

12. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Agreement Acknowledgement By enrolling in Eldridge Canine Academy and participating in any services offered, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
