MANDATE
MANDATE
Isaiah 61:1… declares, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek: he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound: to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God: to comfort all that mourn……………”
As I seek the Office of President, this scripture is the embodiment of the mandate that God has given me to aid in taking this association to the next level in him. It is, and has always been, my calling and desire to reach out and touch the lives of Women both nationally and internationally. My aim, is to bridge the gap between generations in this great sisterhood, uniting them for more effective work in kingdom building.
Having served in this organization as President of the Bahamas Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Vice President of Intercontinental Region, Vice President At Large of the International Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, now presently serving as Chair of the Executive Board, I am confident that with the help of Almighty God and the anointed sisters whom he has chosen, I have both the ability and knowledge to bridge generational and national divides for an even more vibrant and successful organization
We cannot boast about being on five of the seven continents while being active in only one, therefore I pledge to be the bridge that will connect the others.
It is my view that the display of God’s power is evidence of an anointed consecrated life, and the primary focus of my tenure will be on calling forth that Dunamis Power that the creator has wrapped in all of us. In this season, it’s not about who is on stage, but rather it’s about who can lift up a sister to be that shining light that God has intended her to be.
It is my unflinching adherence to the tenets of Faith, Love, and Prayer that has held this organization together for 82 years, therefore, I endeavour to stand on the works of my predecessors to continue the journey in bringing about positive, transformational changes to the sisterhood.
The time is now for every member of this renowned organization to seize this moment to truly birth and experience that which has been stirred up in the spirit. I therefore humbly present myself to this august body of prestigious women as a candidate for President. If afforded the opportunity, I pledge to dedicate myself in moving this organization to an even higher level spiritually, numerically, and financially, the Lord being my helper.
