December 12,2021 - Elcho Area Health Planning Inc. became an official 501 (c) (3)
August 25, 2022 - We received notification of FFY 2022-2026 Transportation Alternatives Program Awards of $514,632.00. Below is a link to the list of Awards. Elcho Area Health Planning Inc./Town of Elcho Award is listed 15th on the list. *FFY 2022-2026 TAP Awards (wisconsindot.gov)
December 2-16, 2025 - EAHP Hike and Bike Trail has been chosen for Covantage Cares Matching Funds Campaign

Timeline of Progress for Trail:
Section One is Nearly Completed (Elcho Street to Otter Lake Wayside)
1) March, 2025 - Design completed by MSA Engineering
2) March, 2025 - Trees removed north of Sunset Road by David Raith logging
3) April - September, 2025 - Utilities relocated or placed deeper so they do not interfere with trail construction
4) July, 2025 - Prep work by Musson Brothers including mowing the footprint of the trail, striping top soil, establish slopes
5) August - September, 2025 - Grading and finish base aggregate; grass placed on slopes
6) October, 2025 - Asphalt placed from Otter Lake Wayside to just short of south juntion of trail by Hwy 45. Topsoil and grass seed to asphalt edge placed and signs put up
7) April - May, 2026 - Sidewalk construction on east side of Hwy 45 from Bluebird Alley to Elcho Street (south end of UCC church)
Section Two (Our Next Focus: Cole Street to Cty Hwy B)
1) May, 2025 - Design 95% completed by MSA Engineering
2) 2025 - Work on easements, Langlade County Highway Dept to link trail to Cty Hwy B, and have trail placed on Langlade County Recreation Trails Map in preparation for Knowles Nelson Stewardship Grant Application
3) 2026 - Construction of trail; approximate cost $300,000
